1.Vitamin-A – It is also called Retinol. It’s an anti-infection and anticancer
vitamin. It’s mainly divided in two types – I. A1 – for eye side.
II.
A2 – epithelial lining and tear formation.

Disease – Night
blindness, Xerophthalmia.
2.Vitamin-D – It is also called sunshine vitamin & Calciferol. It is formed by
cholesterol present in skin in present of UV light. It is only vitamin that
behaves like a hormone. It is essential for bones and teeth.

Disease – Rickets (in
children), Oestomalacia (in adults).
3.Vitamin-E – It is also called Tocopherol, anti-sterility & beauty vitamin.
It removes dark spots, wrinkles on skin.

4.Vitamin-K – It is also called Naphthoquinone, anti-hemorrhagic vitamin. It helps
in blood clotting. It is essential for formation of prothrombin.

– It is also
called thymine. It is a neurotrophic
vitamin.

– It is also
called Riboflavin/Vitamin-G/Lacto Flavin. It
is a coloring agent. It is essential for formation of FMN and FAD. This vitamin
is responsible for milk’s yellow color and urine’s yellow color, when we took B
complex tabs.

– It is also
called Niacin/Nicotinic acid. It is an
anti-pellagra factor or pellagra preventing vitamin. It forms essential
components of NAD & NADP.

– It is also
called Pantothenic acid. It helps in
formation of acetyl choline. Normally it’s deficiency not found.

called Pyridoxine/Anti dermatitis vitamin.

It is essential for healing of wounds. Most common deficiency.
