Vitamin/विटामिन

Vitamin Vitamin = Vital + Amine Types of vitamin – 1.Vitamin-A 2.Vitamin-D 3.Vitamin-E 4.Vitamin-K 5.Vitamin-B 6.Vitamin-C 1.Vitamin-A – It is also called Retinol . It’s an anti-infection and anticancer vitamin. It’s mainly divided in two types – I. A 1 – for eye side. II. A 2 – epithelial lining and tear formation. Source- carrot, green vegetables, papaya, mango, spinach. Disease – Night blindness, Xerophthalmia. 2.Vitamin-D – It is also called sunshine vitamin & Calciferol . It is formed by cholesterol present in skin in present of UV light. It is only vitamin that behaves like a hormone. It is essential for bones and teeth. Source – Cod-liver oil, Shark liver oil. Disease – Rickets (in children), Oestomalacia (in adults). 3.Vitamin-E – It is also called Tocopherol, anti-sterility & beauty vitamin . It removes dark

Transport in Plants/पादपों में परिवहन

Transport in Plants  Introduction – Father of plant physiology – Stephan Hales Father of Indian plant physiology – J.C. Bose What is translocation?               For smaller distances nutrients are translocated by diffusion, active transport and for larger distances nutrients are translocated by xylem or phloem, It is called translocation/transport in plants. Direction of transport –                                            Water and nutrients are translocated from root to stem by xylem – unidirectional transportation. Organic substances/compounds which synthesized in leaved by photosynthesis translocated to plant’s other parts by phloem – multidirectional transportation. *Transportation of Hormones/plant growth factors is unidirectional. Types of transportation – 1.Simple diffusion -   transport from high concentration to low concentration. Pressure of diffused molecules on medium is called diffusion pressure. 2.Facilitated diff

Plant Hormones

+First discovered plant hormone -   Auxin (By F.W. Went) +word hormone is given by -   Starling +word Phytohormone is given by -   Thiemann There are 5 types of plant hormones - 1.Auxin 2.Gibberellin 3.Cytokinin 4.Abscisic Acid 5.Ethylene 1. Auxin -                     Charles Darwin & Francis Darwin worked on canary grass for photo adoption effect and they called this matter Stimulus. Boysen & Jensen worked on Avena sativa for this effect and they called this matter Material Substance. F.W. Went worked on Avena for same effect and extracted that Auxin's odd distribution is responsible for shoot apical meristem's growth towards light, it is because of the photo reduction of Auxin.             According to F.W. Went 27% of Auxin found in plant's light getting part, hence 57% of Auxin found in plant's dark part and 16% of Auxin get photo reduced. TIBA (Tri Iodo Benzoic Acid) is an anti-auxin. IAA (Indole Acetic Acid) is
